BREAKING: Education Minister, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba resigns hours after Buhari’s order

The Minister of State for education, Emeka Nwajuiba has resigned his appointment



This is coming a few hours after President Muhammadu Buhari ordered members of the Federal Executive Council, who are vying for elective positions in the coming 2023 general election to resign on or before 16th May, 2022.


The resignation was however confirmed by the Senior Special Assistant to the president, Garba Shehu.

Mr Nwajiuba who is hoping to succeed Buhari in 2023 was the first person to obtain the N100,000,000 All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential expression and nomination forms.

Others expected to resign from the cabinet include Attorney-General Abubakar Malami; Transport Minister Rotimi Amaechi; Niger-Delta Minister, Godswill Akpabio: Labour Minister Chris Ngige; Science and Technology Minister Ogbonnaya Onu; Mines Minister Uche Ogar; and Women Affairs Minister Pauline Tallen.
